    Same <title> and <h1>

I just made some changes to my contest entry since I realized
that I misused H1 tags on subpages. I simply did not gave enough attention to the anything else then frontpage...

Basicly I had my site name wrapped in <h1> tags in header, so every subpages had it, with the post titles wrapped in <h2> tag

    However <title> was correct.

What I did and what I think that is right you can read here

However I am wondering, what are your experiences for the same <title> and <h1> tags.

Thanks to all in one seo plugin for wordpress, it is easy to get them different or similar, but is anyone tried to make them exactly the same?

I heard that google will maybe that consider spam, but that is natural thing to do.

If you have post about Green Apples then it is natural something like this

    <title>Green Apples</title>

    and then later

    <h1>Green Apples</h1>

I usually match the contents of my <title> and <h1> tags.

I think that everything should be unique. If the title is "Net Builders", my h1 would be slightly different -- "People that build the net" or "Builders of the Net".

I generally keep them the same, pages on my websites would be:

    <title>Name Of Article - WebsiteName.com</title>

    <h1>Name of article</h1>

I like to differ it, but only a little bit and still include the big keywords in both areas.

For a website on the specifications of a 2007 Toyota yaris, I would make the title appealing enough for readers and make the <h1> less appealing to readers and more appealing to search engines. (But certainly not to a large degree)

    An example:

    <title>Specifications of The 2007 Toyota Yaris</title>

    <h1>What are the specifications of a 2007 Toyota Yaris?</h1>
It has worked well for me. I don't believe it to be too much of a big issue, however.

If is makes it sound more appealing for people searching google then yes

Its no use having a high ranking if you have a really fugly title tag that people will not want to click on.

    Hi,

Title and H1 tags is place to let SEs know about your keywords and if you are repeating title keywords with H1 just very first at page then no problem because SEs will consider this as your primary keywords. But keep in mind that if you are repeating 3 or 4 times header tags like H2 and H3 then you can penalized by SEs.

    Thanks
