From what I understand "blackhat SEO", in addition to referring to techniques that are against search engine policies, also refer to techniques such as spam. The former I'm fine with for the reasons I explained (they don't own your site or have a contract with you), but the latter is pure and simply unethical, but some of among us do it, and find this "acceptable".
