Thread: Website Speed - New Google Ranking Factor?

  1. #21
I think that already Google watch on this.

Even more I think that two same niche sites one hosted for example in Europe, one in USA targeting same keyword will have different positions. For example searching on European datacenter will favorize geographically nearer site location.

  2. that's really interesting..
so less media on the sites now ??

Somewhat bad news for some sites. Its good they'll implemented but i'd say the priority for this better be low.
Wonder how they'll manage and compare speed and performance between billions of sites. Its not necessary though according to me unless a site takes like 5 minutes to open up in a 128 kbps connection.

Funny how lately I have clicked on sites on the first page of Google results that load like they are served on a 28.8 modem.

Will Godaddy be removed from Google?

  6. I think this is a good move on googles part. With load times as a factor, it will be easier to tell who is running a good quality site.

Godaddy hosted sites will probably take a hard kick, yes.

Just the part of the unleveling of what use to be a level playing field.

It has been an interesting 11 years watching what was level get so unlevel. The haves will have it easier to get more and the have nots will have to borrow from the haves to get anything.

    Are you star bellied?

  9. funny I posted an article 3-4 months ago about google using this for ranking and was pretty much mocked out of a forum. I'm omw back there right now to lol at them.

I for one haven't seen it implemented, like I mentioned in a post above, lately I have done searches and clicked on top 10 results to extremely SLOW sites. The searches were for autoparts to virus issues (virus not on my comp, but a friends) I have begun to figure that any site not loading right away I will just hit stop and go to the next and not wait for a slow loading site.
