Go for PPC technique for website promotion, in the following cases:
1. If you have a lot of money for disposal..
2. Your website is earning a lot of money every month. (then you can allocate a part of it to PPC)..

Well it depends. In my opinion if one have both number 1 and 2 mentioned above and its site is promoting his business then he will not go for them. PPC is required for someone if he can set some budget to promote his business if his site is not giving output properly.

As per me to make use of ppc only when your product or site been known among people. So when people find the ad for their useful product and that is of the best brand then definitely they going to click on the ad and one can get more benefit and can raise their sales through the ppc ads.
And second when you have enough budget to spend money on ppc then you should use this method to get results.

If you have something to offer which others don't. I mean if you have something exceptional, then PPC is worth doing as they can not refuse that.

We started our ppc when we first built our site while we were building good quality backlinks, then when we reached 1st page organically we turned off the ppc, now we turn it back on every once in a while to get instant traffic

PPC is useful for an ecommerce site. With this time of year being Christmas, i can spend upwards of $200 per day on Adwords.......i dont mind spending $400 because the fact is that it brings in immediate sales and when it all boils down, its only roughly 8% commission per sale. So the more i spend, the more i make.

PPC advertising should pay for itself. So, money or how much your site makes per month shouldn't be a factor. Better to look ROI to make your marketing decisions.

Yeah I agree that if it's a new venture then you should go for PPC for instant results, especially when the venture is seasonal. Because it comes for the specific time, and Organic SEO is a time consuming process.

You can even find some top-ranking websites on Google that are heavily promoted through PPC networks such as Google AdWords. Even after reaching the first spot on Google for a very competitive term, there are still various other channels to generate further traffic shares.
PPC because of its strong potentials, generating targeted traffic for websites, has been liked by webmasters and site admins. They can be especially useful for the first months of launching new sites, the time when they still do not have strong traffic from search engines.

I agree, PPC is also good when you have something unique to offer and you want to tell the world about it. For seasonal business, PPC is strongly recommended.
