Definitely something really weird is going on.
And you're also having your mouse 'over' the Supreme Court.. title? Like on my screen?

Gosh, this is a weird situation...Are there some settings you can change from that maybe? Or is it because you're a digg member, and like mentioned above for you it opens with the 'Digg userbar' when clicking it?

Instead of me, as an unlogged in member, it goes to the site directly?

    Yep.

It looks like some glitch we could take advantage of.

Great And we should know what Google is seeing, the actual URL or the Digged URL... Maybe it could change something, we'll never know though, I guess

    Here:

  5. Most social bookmarking sites go to nofollow sooner or later. That way they control how much pagerank they hand off to other sites.

If digg is not dofollow right now, they will be at some point in time.

What I notice is that when

I'm LOGGED IN I see on the browser bar the short links (e.g. digg.com/d3zam1) and when
I LOGGED OUT, I see the regular links (e.g. fansided.com/2009/03/70/200/news-and-spotlight.html)

Even digg use do follow, i think the link is not quality link since your digg page is become subpage. And subpage have no PR, only digg mainpage is have PR.

    But it's still usefull

Links in comments were nofollow last time I checked. As well as news titles' links.
But that was about a month ago.

I see the real links. Also real links are in the source code too not javascript or something...

Yeah, the link depends if you're logged in or not.
