Thread: Digg or twitter?

Now I use many other Social Bookmarking sites Like :-

Reddit
Stumble Upon
Propeller
Yahoo Buzz
Mixx
etc.

What you think which one is better than Digg & twitter?

It really depends on what you're targeting. If you're looking for immediate traffic twitter might be the way to go since you are able to reach a mass of people in a short period of time.

However digg has more potential because twitter you're essentially mostly limited to your followers unless someone searches you up. Where as digg is very widely known with a good user base. So if you do manage to get on the front page you can get a good amount of traffic!

Another thing I like about Digg is what I found out when I was offering my social bookmarking services. That if you use the specific link when requesting people to digg your site they actually visit your site as well.

So if you post that link when people click on it is considered as traffic for your site as well they can digg your site.

Personally I prefer digg better because of it's potential audience you have.

Also it builds a good reputation if you know how to get diggs.

Digg of course for SEO purposes, because all links that we put on twitter is tagged no follow, while if we land on the first page of Digg because of votes, the no follow tag will be lifted upon our website.

I have above 1200 followers in twitter , i think you can get traffic from twitter , if u have huge fans and from digg you can get backlink and submit your site in proper way , link with keyword ,

Twiter is Microblog it's most power full for microblog cum social netowrking where as Digg is Social bookmarking and it's the king compare on social bookmarking site

Lol where ever you go but main thing is - that you need niche targeted followers for good conversion . I have seen that many spammers have 10k to 20 k followers but no one is interested in there products . So its better to target few people but only those , who are interested in your topic .

I'll go for Digg for gaining quality back links and referral traffic while twitter for me is just for oozzeee-ing other peoples live

If a tweet gets favorited and retweeted enough, it can rank for some substantial keywords though.
