NetBuilders member Hellas recently made an awesome post on his blog: List of 380+ Do Follow Social Bookmarking Sites.

And it's not just a raw list. Hellas has taken the time to sort it by PR.

Thats review of some big list of 785 blogs... I still need to check all to see which one are not working any more and probably some are not do follow any more.

This was compiled over a period of 2 weeks by meticulous searching by people working with me. It has been stolen & republished on a lot of sites that don't adhere to the simple request to link back to the original page itself.

List of social bookmarking websites.

500 of them work at any given time & a big update is in the works.

Here is the list for your benefit (You can get your site manually submitted to 500 sites on our internal always working list complete with screenshot report - Order soon because there really is going to be a steep price increase very soon):

You can do that with a little PERL script like this:

The output, after running it through `sort -r`, would look something like this:

Note that PR will often show up wrong for sites that have www vs. non-www canonicalization issues. That's not an error with the PERL script, that's a web server configuration issue on their part.

PR = Page Rank
A page rank is a number out of ten for your search engine ranking by Google, 10 is the highest, 1 is the lowest. It can easily be faked however there is methods to work out what is real or not. The higher the page rank link, the stronger the link is according to Google, meaning it's better for SEO.

Do-follow doesn't actually make the links display any better, however it's like a link where search engines are told to crawl the site thats linked to, as if it's part of that website still.

We currently launched a small project, and that project is to create an organized social bookmarking list with over PRs over 3. Our list contains over 230 links so far with the PRs of 3-9. It is a user edited directory where anyone can submit links or report dead links. This is a managed directory and if you like the concept, please don't be afraid to share it.
