Thread: Purpose of Pligg sites?

I read some blogs on the web that mostly of socialbookmarking pligg sites are use for spamming. Anyone can give me a brief explanation if pligg sites can really help to increase website traffic and backlinks.

Pligg is an open-source CMS that enables people to quickly build sites that have similar functionality to Digg.

You can use Pligg sites to promote your web pages in much the same way as you use Digg to promote your web pages.

You can find Pligg sites by using searches like these:

• "Pligg Content Management System" inurl:register - Google Search
• "powered by pligg" inurl:register - Google Search

many people use such sites to build links.

I guess they are effective to an extent.

and there are tools which can automatize the whole process.

e.g. autopligg - AutoPligg - Pligg Submitter - Syndk8 Toolshed

I regularly use SB sites to get links, but never tried an exclusive pligg campaign.

Some Pligg sites are dofollow, but most are nofollow.

I don't understand your question.

If there is a list of commands used for search engines to display the results we want (indexed pages for a domain, backlinks to a site), like:

site:.com
link:domain.com

or similar.

The searches I used above use doubleqoutes and the inurl: operator.
