The problem is that most social bookmarking links don't actually get indexed so chances are if you do 100 then 15-25 will show up if google likes them.

There's a lot to learn about bookmarking like timing, relevance and quite a few other little nuances that take time to learn.

It's not such a bad idea to bookmark your profile pages to get them indexed.

But I have done more than a hundred bookmarks for the site. Almost 3 months passed...still google is not interested it seems , But it started showing my sites backlinks in other sites..thank god

Internal pages at these social bookmarking sites, don't always get indexed - Ever!

Sometimes they do and end up in the supplemental index.

The best thing you can do is bookmark your profile pages and then they should get indexed.

For example my for linkatopia account, I bookmark my linkatopia profile in 50 other social bookmarking sites.


This means google will index everyone of my linkatopia bookmarks.

It's time consuming, but remember that a link that isn't indexed is a link that might as well not exist.

Get them indexed!

yeah, I hope this might be working. I will give a try again by book marking the site NewGenre Software and BPO Solutions in this different way. Thanks for the advice.

I definitely advise you try that and remember that it's well worth "swapping" links with others.

By that I mean you bookmark someones site and they bookmark yours. It's a great way to get more than one link to a page from a given social bookmarking site.


I have used it to boost my Qondio profile and It's worked wonders

Here's my experience with social bookmarking(see img below). This is the result when i checked my backlinks with one of my travel blog. Of the 298 backlinks, 200+ links were from social bookmarking sites! Some backlinks have appeared after a month, some appeared after 2 months of social bookmarking and some appeared after 4 months.

I used http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/ to check my links.

So, accdg. to my experience, social bookmarking is not a waste of time coz i got those links sitting in there and helping my little blog to be at a good rank in SERPs. Some social bookmarks dominates page1 with the keyword i am targeting and I'm happy with it.
