will social bookmarking links shown in google as back links?

Hi friends everybody doing social bookmarking in a very rapid rate..? But i have a doubt, will google shows all these links as backlinks for a particular site?

am not sure..I just tried it with my site and some other too..did more than 100 bookmarks..but not even a single work is counted..do you have any idea?

If you bookmark a page, it might be 4 - 8 weeks before it shows up in your google webmaster tools. So if your looking for instant results, do not count on it.

From my personal experience, I have seen social bookmarking sites show up in my google webamster tools. But it was months after I bookmarked the page that the link finally showed up.

And, of course, Google displays links in GWT that they don't count towards your site.

The fact that a link is displayed in GWT doesn't prove that the link is doing you any good in the Google SERPS.

Hi friend thanks for your help,,but already i checked in yahoo and its there..My problem is with google...yahoo and altavista already showing more than 50 links..But for my bad luck still now its not showing even a single link in google..And this an seo work of mine which is making things worse..I hope you could understand..

Yeah. Dont worry. Google is just simply dont want to show all links even if they are counted. Probably becuase of algorythm protection.

It will show them eventually. But some SB and dir links will never be showed.

Also, GWT's External Link function has been broken a lot recently.

If GWT isn't showing any links at all, it's probably just that GWT is broken again.

Yeah there is a chance that some of the bookmarking services and directory submission may never be listed...

buddy, you have the right answer i think. It might be broken.Otherwise It could have shown at least one backlink, because all those links are not just SB services, some good PR4 PR5 sites also there.
