Thread: Do Twitter profiles sell?

I have come across TweetValue | How much is your Twitter profile worth? and there you get an account with 5k followers appraised for around $1,500.00

My question is whether or not Twitter accounts
1) sell
2) sell for the prices quoted.

Not sure but could be a novelty fad site just driving traffic, but not actually selling the accounts and bringing in the money

A friend of mine has 40k followers. His account is appraised at $13k.
I would say that his presence on Twitter is about worth 3-4k monthly.
So I would say that in some niches the value is more than justified.

It might be worth that money, but selling Twitter accounts is not allowed from Twitter if I'm correct

I have yet to read a Twitter TOS. I know that they do not verify your email address, so they probably won´t catch ownership transfer of an account.

How about having multiple accounts. Is that against their TOS?

The 1 Million Dollar sale is a profile with 400 followers, a lot of the profiles on that list are suspended.
Not sure that this website has a real track record of sales.
