How do you go about making any money with Twitter based upon the number of followers?
I just read two current books about Twitter and it still looks like a fad or a toy to me. I completely understand why more than 60% of the people who sign up abandon it during the first 30 days. It is unintuitive (as least one author agreed with me) and very limited (140 character max text limit). It is basically texting with a PC and then broadcasting it to followers.
Why should I care what someone is doing with their time or why should they care about how I spend mine? All of the Tweets that I have read thus far have been a 110% waste of time. The entire concept appears to be childish and I just do not grasp the fascination with it.
Would someone please explain how any benefit is derived from Twitter? I'd like to see how you are making this work for you.
Educate me, oh Twitter gurus!
