Do you consider Twitter to be a distraction or an excellent marketing and networking tool?

For me it is the latter.

It sometimes takes up a lot of my time. But it's such an easy way to spread your words on. I love twitter.

I would say its really a boon for marketers and Labourers

I feel it's a great way to market yourself or your business and network with others.

I can see why it might distract others, but that isn't a problem for me.

Well, twitter is useful because I made a lot of friends and it drove a lot of traffic to my blog.

Well, it's useless for spammers. You get more out of twitter when you are using it the right way.

Different uses for different people.

Personally I think it's a great marketing tool. Actually, not only that, I think it's a great tool in general. There's no better social networking sites (for webmasters anyway), and it's so easy to use. I also like the way it's easy to use and also fun, so when you can't be bothered to write a post you can go and do a mini post on Twitter ;p

I do, however, see why people don't like it. There are a lot of spammers and, as Gloson said, if you don't use it properly, it's a massive waste of time.

I think twitter is not bad. Since you have a lot follower, at least there will be a traffic if you post your blog url on twitter.

I'm also have twitter but i have less follower. Planning to try "how to get follower" which gloson tell me yesterday

Both. I get some great feedback but then again I do tweet a lot on some days, haha.

I wouldn't be ready to say that it is an extraordinary marketing tool, just an efficient way to raise a large audience that MIGHT be interested in what you are offering.

So it would be 75% of a distraction and 25% of a 'great' marketing tool.
