    Is Twitter really worth using?

I personally cannot stand being on Twitter. I have yet to read really informative and interesting tweets.
Seems like the only thing informative can be found on Facebook these days.
So I am wondering, since Twitter is pretty useless for information (from my point of view), do any of you believe that it is good for marketing?

What people tell me is that Twitter is good for "keeping in touch", but not good for marketing.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

I know what you mean - I caved, signed up and actually have tried. It doesn't turn me on at all...It's funny, because I went to an HR Tech convention recently, and listened to a bunch of presenters tell everyone how great it is...don't they know that forums are WAY better?

I've been using F/B for that...although I could do without knowing if my neighbor is baking cookies or not...

Me too. Maybe the problem is also that I have too many net marketers on Twitter who post just to promote something without really adding anything worth paying attention to.

You can't focus while twitter is on and twitter is supposed to be on at all times because you have to update everyone about what you're currently doing which is a big turn off for me ..
