Thread: 15,000 pending links - lesson learned

So, I took a few months off from working on my directories. BIG MISTAKE. I currently have:

h3n.org
15,000+ pending links

yetidirectory.com
4,100+ pending links

Before I started going through links this afternoon I had nearly 20,000 pending links. Needless to say, it's going to take awhile to approve them. I'm excited though because that's 20,000 potential clients I will be contacting over the next few months for future directories and service I plan to create.

Anyway, I've got a lot of work ahead of me and I don't suggest anyone else ignore their directories as long as I did

That's exactly why I don't do directories anymore...

I had a similar situation once - about 2K + links. My directory used to get huge numbers of spam links, so it was even worse; having to wade through these..

I hired a part timer from DP (2 bucks an hour); had him do the weeding. Not to mention the follow ups...
