Damn, keep on that government pension!
I will have you know I worked my butt off for years to get that well deserved pension.
Now, you will probably diss my father's government pension!
The one where he was in WWII and few other wars, to protect us.
And retired out of the military.
    And gets a government pension!

Rob, is your monitor working now?

No offense intended, Dawg. I just had to add the dig because the price of a new monitor did not seem important.

Hey, I know you was kidding.
You did not use any bad language!
    Hahahahahaha...

Well, to my wife and I, before we buy anything that costs, we do see if we can really afford it, really need it, and how will it affect our budget.

Like last year when we bought the car and traded in the van (13 years old).
Ran the numbers on how much we save by living here as opposed to where we had lived.
And really, the car payments paid by how much we save on driving and gas, etc.
When one can go about 3 weeks to almost 6 weeks between fill ups?
One is not having to drive much!

Waiting on the parts i ordered on Amazon. I ordered a turn signal for Beth's truck moments after ordering the repair parts for the monitor. The repair kit i paid for expedited delivery. The turn signal i did not. I got the turn signal today. The repair kit for monitor is still in route. Go figure.

    Ordering from Amazon is fun.
One really does not know until at some point in the ordering and paying process where it will be shipped from.
Then if it ships out UPS?
It can go to 3 or 4 different places in Iowa before ending up at our place.

Oh, Texas has vehicle inspection, so I guess you got to rush that fixing the taillight.
    But not in Iowa.
So one sees cars with one headlight, no taillights, etc.
Smoking out the back, one neighbor has his damn truck with no muffler.
All cops do is give you a pep talk to get it fixed asap.

Yeah, I'm an expert now. This and changing the batteries in my flashlight in one week... I am on a roll.

The Chinese capacitors do not always look fried or blown out. They dry out and cease functioning.

I think that stopped happening after they found a better manufacturer to steal technology from.
