i have a list in a text file, does anyone ever tried this please. how did you do it?

what's the file format

can you provide a sample.

is it plain email only list or name plus mailid list.

its an email list inside a text file. such as mycontacts.txt
email addresses are written one per line.

xcy@yahoo.com
fds@gmail.com
dsds@yahoo.com

and so on.

Yahoo doesn't not allows this kind of list.

you mean you want to import these emails in to yahoo mail?

you'll need to change the format around a bit, but it's doable

you'll need to format like this at a minimum and save it as a .csv file to get the yahoo import tool to recognize it:

"First","Middle","Last","Nickname","Email","Category"
"","","","","abc@example.com",""
"","","","","def@test.net",""

Then in yahoo go to Contacts > Tools > Import > Others

And the choose, A desktop email program (Outlook, AppleMail, etc...), and select your csv file and click continue to go on.
