This is exactly what the world needs. Someone to step up and compete head to head with microsoft.

Great, let's expand the monopoly even more. Controlling the Internet isn't enough, they need to control the off-Internet computer world too.

That is going to be hell outta Pain for MS, And im sure its going to be a stunning release from google, Lets see how well it goes for open source community, and most of all it will be based on Linux.

I hope their OS sucks and they abandon the project. It's well enough that they've got the search and a browser

Don't you think MS windows is just too over Priced, and their code is been Injected in our DNA, so frm childhood we are forced to use windows?
Common!! we kids need somthing Kickin A** and that is too open source, and that makes this situation like Cherry on a cake, When An OS coming from Google, and that is for Free.:clap:

I don't mind using Google OS, those guys are good guys - at least that's how they call themselves.

I just don't want any contextual ads on my desktop that's for sure.

I too will surely give a shot when its launched, but expecting Windows and Mac to get lot better than present till its launched :)

I do agree Chetan. Main bad part is it is releasing next year as you said Windows 7 is coming out.

I do not think they will make a cheap product though.
