    Google Wave

As I'm sure most of you know, I have quite a strong opinion about the fact Google won't rule the roost within the next 10 years. Well, change that to had.

After watching the Google Wave demo, my opinion is total different. This is what I call a real quality product. If they continue to push out services to this standard, they will rule the roost for a very long time.

If you have no idea what I'm on about, when you have a spare hour or so, watch this video: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_UyVmITiYQ[/ame]

    Just, amazing.

P.S. I apologise if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't 100% sure where to put it.

Google sure looks as one interesting piece of software. It is funny that you post the video now because I first heard of Wave yesterday, on TechCrunch.

I watched a part of the video (didn't like watching the whole hour and a half though) and the features in Wave are amazing. But I guess it won't be available before long (in a stable version) and I don't feel like dealing with all the bugs that will surely come with it. :P

I read about this in yesterday's papers. It sounds like something really innovative and nice. I am looking forward to it.

Nic SEO - True, I wouldn't want to use something which had a lot of bugs, although I expect they'll thoroughly test it before releasing it to the public to find as many as they can.

I just can't wait to get my hands on it, buggy or not.

Yes, probably. But even Chrome had (and still has) a lot of bugs, so I expect the same from Wave.

OK, I'll be honest about two things here:
    1) I don't have a clue what Google Wave is.
    2) I don't have 1 hour 20 mins to watch that video.

Anyone care to explain it to me in a paragraph?

You could have tried my link though.

Google Wave is a new tool for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year.

    Ah yes, sorry Nic :$

Looks pretty interesting, but if it is what I think it is, surely it's just a better version of Googlemail? Not that I'm knocking that as GMail is awesome, but why all the hype?

Nah it has nothing to do with Gmail.

Think of it as a Facebook/Gmail/Google Maps/IM mixed together.

Yeah, but the point I'm making is that it's basically an advance email program. I'm not saying it's not good, but I'm not sure it'll live up the the hype it's getting. Still, I look forward to giving it a try and making up my mind properly
