How many of you use Linux?

    Hi,

I'm a big fan of Windows. I have used linux earlier. But never connected to net using any of the flavors out there.

Well, if you are one of those linux lovers, can you share here, why you like it? IS linux any better than windows?

I have two PCs on Linux, one for work and the other as a home-server.
I have built the first, and installed Ubuntu 9.04 x64 on it. As I'm a developper (Python, PHP and more), I realy love Linux, I can work faster with it

I have been using only linux as a desktop for about 6ish years now. I like the flexibility. You can set it up to what you want how you want - no bullshit.

    • Linux is cheaper than Windows
    • Upgrading Ubuntu is easier than upgrading Windows
    • More free software of higher quality is available on Linux than on Windows

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Maybe, but still, I'm so used to Windows that I just couldn't switch.
