Use Sm Player , it supports around 120 Formats and doesnt distort movies plus has Volume amplification

GOM player can also play mp4 files. I use it a lot.:)

VLC is best software to play any video audio {supporting approximate all type of files to be play but video quality is not too good }

you may use your preintalled mediaplay or download from net.
