How to play .mp4 file?

I use Windows Media Player ver. 9 to play it, but it said it is not supported, any other way to play .mp4 video files?

this helps if you plan to keep using Windows Media Player

VLC can almost play all extension. that should do the job.

Download good media player codec and install then forgot about video file format.

Download and Install Klite Codec Media Player. You can play all types of video and music file format there. And best of all its lite and fast
