    Mozilla Releases Firefox 3.7 Mockups

The good folks and Mozilla.org are hard at work

Hot on the heels of its much-downloaded Firefox 3.5 release, Mozilla is back at it again with newly released screenshots of the proposed themes for Firefox 3.7. Listed as a draft, the page depicts mockups of the Windows Vista/7 Aero/Without Aero themes and themes for Windows XP.

The browser will look very pretty if the mockup holds true. With Aero enabled the buttons will be translucent and have small shadows, giving them a 3D look. The window frame and tabs have the distinctive "glass" look from Aero. The page and tools buttons have also been moved to logical locations.

What does everyone thing about the mockup? I personally like the visual improvement as I found the current one feels very incomplete and doesn't complement vista or xp very well. It looks nice and smooth almost like opera 10

I can't stand the new firefox themes, nor these mockups. I'm still a fan of the FF2 default theme, which is why I use "Firefox 2, the Theme, Reloaded" addon on my current FF3 install and oldbar addon to give it the nice simple look of FF2.

Meh, they are slowly ruining FF just as I predicted back in its 2.0 days when every one was nut hugging them. 3.5 is already full of performance problems for many users (myself included). By the time it gets to FireFox 5 I predict the "team" will jump ship and launch another spinoff.

I kind of like it... Looks sharp, but they are getting way to close to IE.

Looks sharper... in what way are they getting closer to I.E though? Bloatwise?
