    rising antivirus

    something strange happen to my pc abt this anti virus

    Yesterday i try to install a live TV program (from trusted site, PPTV), after installation done, rising antivirus become my pc main protection and my original Avira pay version is deleted .....

    is really too much from PPTV and rising anti virus, not even a msg pop up abt this AV installation ....

    btw i found few other software install too.
    1. China Browser.
    2. Another software i dunno what. (i don't have foreign language install)
    3. Don't know what brand spyware removal

    really pis with pptv

    I get pissed off when software installs the Yahoo toolbar without my permission. I would really be mad if a company did something like that.

    You should contact PPTV and let them know how upset you are.

    I had an issue with my laptop awhile back that my roommate ended up fixing but I was wondering what everybody thought the best security programs are out there? I am not very computer savvy at all ... my roommate took care of everything and I really have no idea how or what he did ... I would appreciate any advice you have.

    my god, who cares about your problem here? make your own thread instead of posting irrelevant crap.

    And Sonny, are you sure you didn't notice any message about the installation of these extra programs? usually there is a checkbox asking if you want to install them, if not, I suppose they at least covered it up in the "Installation TOS / End-user Agreement". Also, how would you define a "trusted" site?
