    Is there a way to download all your gmail emails?

    How can you download gmail archives?

    I did a search on g for "download all gmail" some interesting things you can try. Some require you to have a server online and use fetchmail also there are a couple programs that are being sold. I think the server route might be the better method

    yeah there are a bunch of them, so I was hoping someone here tried any to save time on testing them all.
    Would be good if it can download from separate folders/tags

    You can use Outlook or Thunderbird to keep your messages offline, all you to do is to activate POP (or Imap if you prefer) and then configure your e-mail client to download all your messages.

    Thats exactly what i do. And this is why i prefer gmail over yahoo. Ot took me long time to download all emails for the 1s time though. But once its done, no problems eversince.

    I use m2 client of my Opera and pop function of gmail.
    After every 3-4 months I export my mails from Opera and burn it on a cd.
    I have now all emails from past 3 years

    I prefer Outlook,
    Thats Much Easier But i dont know how to config Outlook for Yahoo,
    i have a free yahoo account

    If u have a free account with yahoo then u cant use outlook with yahoo.

    POP for yahoo is available only for premium users.
