    Who is using Adblock Plus?

    Hi,
I need this to view some stats.. I'm using the program, but I'm looking if other people use this piece of software too...

Maybe I will integrate the d3xt3r.net code to block people using adblock till they turn it off....

So vote in poll and give a short comment please

Nope, ads are generally well-integrated and make the design look good. I can't be bothered with ad blockers that leave empty blocks of space -- it looks ugly. Plus, Web sites have them there for a reason... To earn $$ -- if it's not going to hurt me, why should I stop them from doing so?

Well with a well coded website you shouldn't see empty spaces...
And no, google ads aren't stupid, but there are other ad companies who show stupid ads...
With adult etc, that's why I use this software

No I don't, and I always tell others not to so they can keep clicking ads (not mine though)

I've been on the Internet longer than the HTTP protocol -- I am almost 100% ad blind.

There's no need for me to use a software ad blocker, I have a wetware one.

I don't, but last time I used it it also used to hide adsense ads, which is just not good

d3xt3r's Ad/Tracker Block Blocker looks pretty interesting, thanks for pointing it out!

Exclamation Sometimes we DO need to block ads on web pages!

I figure the fewer programs running on my machine - THE BETTER!

I have adjusted the host file in the "family" pc so they don't have an inadvertant click fest on any of my websites.

About white spaces.... usually the "other content" moves up the page and you barely notice the "missing ads". Right?

As for good coding, my very first website if so full of html errors it makes me shudder. On the other sites I've created - well, I depend on other genius PHP codes like Wordpress (what's with all the new versions, OMG!), PHPLD directory, and PHPBB2 - or similar "freebie codes".

I often find "GOOD" info in ads, however, I flippout if people start the pop up assault with their sites.

Do you know that I have been to some REALLY great sites that I wanted to put in my favorites, but they gave me an assault, so I told them bye-bye -4ever!

    Damshame!

Simple answer to the poll, though, = NO

Not exactly... Depends on your placement.
