Thread: Windows 7 - Linux

Mostly business related software like Decision Support software, Datamining stuff, zOS and iSeries emulators among others.
There's no easy way to make these running under Wine, in fact I'm pretty sure there's no way.

Atm I still need to run XP and Vmware on it, I have Ubuntu, Kubuntu and am considering to install Snow Leopard (yes, on VMware over XP ) which might give me a few extra headaches.

Luckily, I try to always use Open Source software whenever possible and most of those are directly compatible with Linux. Like I said, the only real problem I encountered was just the incompatibility with my wireless card - so I'll buy a new one and we'll be good to go. At least now I have a fresh install of Windows 7 and got rid of a lot of the files I don't need anymore! But anyway, I've always been fond of Linux. It's so much faster and more efficient, more secure, just all around a much better option. (Sounds like Firefox. )

  3. wireless is supported by linux. i'm using fedora and it works well.
