Seeing some other translation scripts.. Whats this?
Looks like its very nice... How we can implement this type with our current translation script?

It seems to be using subdirectories. Instructions for that are in Configuring the Translation Script to Use Subdomains.

It adds a lot of additional languages, which you can also do easily.

Which feature of that script is the one which you would like to implement?

No, I dont want use subdomains.. I think subdirectory is best for SEO purposes.
The thing is, my translations are going to google IP's. If we request one page, it translates in the site link. But the links in the translated page is beginning with google IP. And if anyone opens those links, the translation continues on google IP, not in our site..

I found this is good and bad. If anyone request direct url, the page caches and gives translation to them. Also our IP load request and hosting space will be in good stand. But for indexing purpose, we need cached page.

Any advice on this IP issue?

I'm not sure, but some of the biggest and best sites in terms of rankings for their keywords/niche's use subdomains when dealing with different languages

ex: http://en.wikipedia.org http://de.wikipedia.org http://it.wikipedia.org

It's very important for the URL's to show as your site, so that the translated pages get indexed and ranked.

Are you using our translation script?

I have this same problem...on translated pages, translate links look like this:

Is the problem resolved?
I am also seeing the same thing on one of my site which is using "Translation Script v2.18".

Problem can be seen at my resume site at the bottom of the page.

I think the "function clean_google_url($u)" is not working the way it should.

Here are the details:

• The URL of the site you are translating
• http://www.aroj.com
• The URL to a copy of version.php running on your site (See the Troubleshooting Tips for a copy of this on-line program.)
• http://www.aroj.com/version.php
• Does the issue affect Google Translate, Yahoo Babelfish, or both?
• Just checking with Google (as yahoo is not working)
• What hosting company is your web site hosted at?
• My own dedicated server.
• Which version of the Translation Script are you running? (Look at the top of translate/translate.php)
• Latest 2.18
• What version of Apache are you running? (1.3 or 2.x)
• Apache/2.2.3 (Fedora)
• Does your Apache configuration have mod_rewrite enabled?
• Yes.
• If you are calling the script from html files, is your Apache configured to support PHP code embedded in html files?
• No. I have currently hard-coded it.
• Does your host support cURL?
• Yes. Its working and fetching the files from transation server of google.
• Is PHP safe_mode disabled on your host?
• disabled. safe_mode off
• What HTML/JavaScript/PHP/etc... code are you using to call the script?
• Direct html url
• What error messages are you seeing in your Apache server logs?
• No an error, but the links on the translation page is showing link to google translation server and not to my own server.
• What error messages are you seeing when you try to translate a page?
• None.
