Hi there, just tried the new version, links fixed and links to other internal pages work, thanks. But all the formatting is messed up, images and ads are not showing on the translated pages as well as parts of the site are deformed. Just giving you a heads up. Couple of ideas, is it not worth charging for this script, it is well supported but many site owners cannot put something on their site that ultimately breaks then takes weeks to be fixed, if it was paid it would maybe command more resources from the coders also maybe get a few experienced users to beta test these new releases, everyone I have seen released fixes one thing then breaks another. Thanks.
Will, was kinda hoping you'd have something to say, the current script is not caching correctly, ads and images do not display and the css/formatting is all screwed.
Looking at our sites here, we're not seeing those issues. As a result, you'll need to provide full descriptions of what we should be looking for.
How is the script not caching correctly? What is it doing and what do you want it to do?
What types of ads and images do not display? Are they in <img> tags? Are they Flash? Are they contained within iframes?
How is CSS/formatting screwed? Are all of your stylesheets being loaded? (Some formatting will always be screwed up by automated translations that do not occur within the context of a CMS.)
I have one, seems to work just fine on some of my other sites. It's just extremely frustrating to have trusted someone and used their product for them to just stop updating it and/or supporting it with no reason or explanation a matter of days into using it. If you had responded to me in a timely fashion I could have dropped your script weeks ago and moved on. What a waste of time.
A couple of high-priority projects have unfortunately delayed our efforts to improve the script to work better elsewhere.
The real difficulty is that the scripts internals are so complex that we can't easily bring new coders up to speed on how it works. They are as likely to break something as they are to fix something.
So, although I can hire a new PHP guy -- it wouldn't do a lot of good in the short-term.
How is the $65 script working out for you? Is it something you would recommend?
