    Blog or Website or both

    hi All,

I am confused and needed some suggestion.

I have my website @ HOME: ANANT SHRIVASTAVA

i also run a blog @ Anant Shrivastava : Techno Enthusiast

Now i get confused on whether to keep both or keep just one. and which one should it be.

I want to have one place on web where i can have my project portfolio and then share my thoughts with the web.

    what do you suggest

I think it totally depends upon you and your client type. you can decide it better whether to keep blog or website.

The best solution is have both. Put the blog is a subfolder like mysite.com/blog

You get the best of both worlds as you have both a site and blog on the same domain. The blog is easy to update with your thoughts. You will also get some SEO benefits with the fresh content and submitting to the blog directories etc

For my portfolio I use both.

The blog so I can run a blog and write about my own experiences/thoughts, and the site is to showcase my work.

IMO the blog enhances the site quite a lot as it brings your site more potential clients/employers. I know that a few articles I have written on my blog have landed me a few freelance jobs.

After all these years I still really don't understand how a blog differs from a website...

Anyhow, keep both and put the so called blog under a subdomain or subfolder.

Or just use Wordpress and put the "website" in pages and the "blog" in posts.
