How many of you build your websites around frameworks?
How many of you build your websites around frameworks?
I've used Cakephp and Rails,
Both of which I found frustrating but I can see the attractions.
I've used 960 grid system as well for layout if thats what you meant.
web ape
Yes, around Thesis.
@Sneakyheathen
you should try the 960 grid...It saves you a ton of hours
@web_ape
Yes i am familiar with the 960 grid and thinks it's awesome for designing dynamic websites
I have heard of cakephp and ruby on rails but never really looked into them
@spitfire
I've tried thesis and every website built on the thesis frameworks looks very similar to each other
I use Thesis. Yes, a lot of people don't take the time to customize it. But it's so simple to edit and add a lot of stuff too. I mean, I barely recognize Thesis on one of my own blogs.
I have tried other frameworks to build off of too. 960 Grid system is pretty nice I have to admit!
I just downloaded it. Don't have time to try it out until later though. I use old versions of my Wordpress themes to build new sites off of now.
I tried learning hooks but found it kind of hard. I'm usually not shy about learning new coding languages, but me and Thesis simply don't agree.
