Thread: Anyone use GIMP ?

Gimp is a free alternative graphic edit tool I tried to learn how to use it like year ago but its kinda difficult to someone who got used to Photoshop Anyone use it ?

No, I never used it, Just now only am hearing about that, may be its my ignorance lol, till now am continuing ma experiments with psd only..May be i will have a look at this too..

Yes, i'm using Gimp sometimes and quite happy about it. In addition, I'm also using Inkscape for drawing etc. It takes some dedication to learn all its features but it's not that difficult.

I've really had trouble finding a good list of specific things which Photoshop can do which Gimp can't do. Can GIMP replace Photoshop? is the best article I've seen for that purpose.

If adjusting to GIMP's user interface is the main issue, you might want to consider GIMPshop. GIMPshop is an add-on which gives GIMP much of Photoshop's "look and feel".

I used it on my laptop that was running ubuntu, but I sold that laptop, so I don't use it anymore

I Tried it was too complicated for me dont know why probably im too used to photoshop now

I have started using GIMP 2 weeks back and It will be great if you can share some good scripts or plugins of this software with me .
