Hosting Company Recommendations

Which hosting companies would you recommend fully, and which would you stay away from?

I'm shopping around for a new host and thought I could get some advice from the experts

I've been happy with a small host by the name of weberz.com for the last four years. Their prices are a little higher but overall service is good. Another host I've started using for a some of my niche sites is eukhost.com based in the UK with UK servers. Cheap and reliable.

But Bluehost & HostMonster are ok too...

Some people believe Servage.net is great too, but I don't like them very much.. but please don't ask the reason for it

I recommend: Wiredtree.com (if you need a serious server)
I'd stay away from Midphase.com/Anhosting.com

I've used servage in the past and would never use them again. My reasons are just that it took them 3 days to setup my account - they had accounting problems and their staff don't seem to talk to each other - and I had fairly regular downtime because their servers appear to be very overloaded.

Who are you hosting with?

I am hosting my sites with Yahoo Web Hosting and blogs with WP Web Host.

Are you happy with them?

I am not too happy with Yahoo, but yes with WP Web Host.
