Thread: how can i download a folder in the file manager?

anyone please tell me how can i download a folder in the file manager please.?

I'm guessing we're talking cpanel here right?

1st - Select the Folder you want
2nd - Click the Compress button and save as zip (or tar.gz, your choice)

3rd - Select the new compressed file
4th - Download it to your machine (and extract, upload elsewhere, whatever)



Or you could always just use FTP, and download it as is.

i though I'd just download a folder without doing anything before it. thanks

that is impossible (so far ) you can't upload a folder can you?

You can download and upload folders only via FTP. With file manager you do this only with archives.

With file manager is much more faster than with FTP.

There isn't anything else I can add to this post but it may be worth learning how to use an FTP client such as FileZilla.
