httpd Error back and now I am lost

    Hello again,

For those of you that remember I posted about having 7-8 httpd errors a day with my dedicated server. The sites slowed down, taking 10 seconds to load the home page until I restarted the httpd. Once this happened it ran fin.

I just do not understand what is causing it. I know that proxies create a lot of strings but I have an 8gb Core2Quad server, I would think it could handle it.

Is there anything I can do to with caching or decreasing appache resources?

    Thanks All

Please try to re-build apache via cpanel/whm - > softwares - > easyapache and choose correct and only necessary tools/softwares. I hope, it would help you.

One thing you can do is activate (if it's not already activated) the mod_status module. This will let you browse to <yourhostname>/server-status. This will report on what each Apache child is doing. What PID it is, what website it's serving, and how long it's been sitting around doing whatever it's doing.

This helped me diagnose an issue I was having with Glype. Be sure to correctly configure the glype timeout settings, as this was giving me some issues a while back.

Also, what is the error? There's dozens of optimization that can be done to Apache to run more efficient.

    Nux,

I think you would get a ton of thanks if you made a thread stating which configurations work the best with apache.

I was writing up a post yesterday on this, and left it at work. I am now working from home today, so I can finish it up tomorrow when I'm in the office.
