    WDServers is Ruining My Business!

Honestly, I should have left them after my first month...

I am currently running my proxy host on a WDServers.com server. At least once a month, there has been some kind of downtime but it wasn't usually too bad.

The owner shows a complete disregard for his clients, and does not care at all whether or not I leave and I can tell my money means nothing to him. Tickets remain unanswered for hours, reboot requests will be ignored for most of the day.

Now, my server is currently offline with all of my clients. I wish there was something that I could do, but its completely out of my control. I contacted this guy, and after 12 hours he gave me the answer "we're having server problems, i don't know when it will be back online".

It is now been 24 hours of downtime and no update or response. If only I could get access to the files on my server, I'd be moving all of my clients ASAP. However right now I'm in a position where I can do nothing until it is fixed.

What should I do I plan on leaving to a different provider as soon as I can get access to the server again. And stay away from WDServers unless you don't care about your website's uptime.

I think all you can do for now is wait till they solve problems at their end.
I have a VPS for my proxies and when ever I need to reboot it I do it easily from the HyperVM panel. I have never operated on a dedicated server but I believe there must be some way for you to reboot it yourself. Are you a reseller or have VPS/dedicated?

Yes, a good hosting company should provide you with some sort of a management console for sure, although that wouldn't solve the problem Zash's problem as the server is not hanging but has severe problems.

In proxy business I was first with Vectro (shared hosting) and he has been very kind and helpful. As I grew in size I changed to WDServers for a VPS but I soon realized that I have to change provider.

Depending on what level of support you need there are a few affordable and reliable companies out there for dedicated servers with a remote management interface, which is what I have now.

I know this might not help a lot, but I always keep saying that cheap hosting companies will become a lot more expensive in the long term...

Sometimes it's so cheap it's obviously not!

Apparently its not just a reboot that can fix it, and nope - I was never given any info for a type of panel.

The thing thats bothering me the worst right now is the complete lack of information or care.

Lesson learned should be never host your sites with a company who doesn't even have a proper website. I am surprised how they are doing business with that one page under construction type of site.

Its their reputation. Those two guys are pretty talented IMO. I had a server with him for 6 months and everything went smoothly - then again that was before FDC went to heck.
