AdSense CPC Falling...

I compared the AdSense performance of my proxy lists last month to their performance in September, October, and November of 2008.

Wow. CTR held steady, but CPM fell by over 38%. This means that the drop in CPM was directly due to a drop in CPC.

- Less advertisers currently - clicks are cheap
- Proxy users often don't convert into sales for the advertiser
- Mostly idiots who advertise on them
- Less idiots around with the whole economic situation, everyone is careful with money

I wouldn't want to be advertising on proxies/lists myself.

I think this sums it up nicely. Advertising budgets are normally budgeted and spent 3 - 6 months in advance in many large companies so it's taken time for the financial crisis to catch up with the online advertising market.

Now that it has though all we can do is hope it turns around sometime in the next 6 months or so...

Its actually other way round for me

CTR is steady and CPM increased by 16% . I actually have crossed 52 $ from one proxy this month kewl

Will how much do u get through adsense monthly

I'm replacing AdSense with NetShelter, so my AdSense revenue is way down. This month should be about $35k.

Yep. I managed to convince myself to close down more than a half dozen last month, but then I registered another half dozen new domains.

Ok. How much time you spend with each site/month? I just want to know weather or not I should star few adsense sites.

Most of them don't get touched in any given month.

Of course, most of them make almost no revenue.

The few sites I do spend time, effort, and money on return revenue. The rest serve either to funnel PR or they are just aging and waiting to be developed.
