Well, actually it might. Juvos.com sends me more US traffic than proxy.org, which tends to send mostly Iran and saudi traffic. So Juvos brings higher (Payment per) click traffic (To me at least), which matters.

For 2 weeks I have been experiencing a drastic decrease in Adsense earnings too, but since 3 days is getting better.
Today I even had an 0.99$ Adbrite inline click as the rare exception from the rule that these days Smowtion (my sig) really pays better then all the rest we use on proxified pages.

I have rearranged the ads on the site sometime yesterday and its now made $2 today. I suppose thats an improvement from then before. I could expect now the site to be making about $60/month now probably.

I never even mentioned proxy.org. But I feel I must say there has been some positive impact on the site. Before it was 2 million Alexa rank and its going lower every week. The site before had only about 500 visitors, now has got around maby close to 3,000 visits a day. When I blocked Iran however it did dropped by a few hundred. Yes I did pick up the Iran traffic off proxy.org unfourtantly But I suppose thats to be expected. If you dont like it just block it. Maxmind's GeoIP is not terribly hard to setup by querying it with PHP.

    Submit new proxies -

What's with all the hating on Iran traffic? From my experience, they convert for Adsense but might screw up your CPM earnings. I don't block any countries from Adsense right now. And Adsense is currently my highest-earning source by far... over $20 just from Adsense today.

One thing I'd suggest is setting ads so advertisers can target them. Otherwise, the contextual ads are just crap since they pick up proxy keywords and give ads like "how to block proxies".

The Iran traffic could be considered as poor quality traffic by advertisers.

Yeah, but you still get paid for it, even if it's less per click than from a country with higher quality traffic. If you sign up with Adwords, you have to choose what countries to target your ads. So the only advertisers that get Iran traffic are either those who choose Iran, Asia, or just global traffic. When it comes to Adsense, they only get what they ask for.

CPM companies would definitely prefer you only show their ads to countries with higher quality traffic. As far as I know, most networks don't allow advertisers to choose what countries to geo-target. The advertisers don't get conversions from bad traffic, plus the companies host the ads themselves, so you're using up their bandwidth. In this case, it's best to geo-target your ads.

Until I get screwed somehow, I think it's best to geo-target non-Adsense ads. Because when I tried geo-targeted Adsense ads for a while, my earnings went down and stayed down.

But hey, I'm basing the above only from experience. So correct me if I'm wrong.

    Hi Nux,

Wow you made $8 per day just from one proxy!
That`s a very LOT of money!!!

    I have around 1000-1400 UV/day from 1 proxy but I only make $1-2/day!
Do you know what`s the problem?

I`m interested to have a link exchange in the footer
    of your homepage.

Yup, you can`t be more right!
    Garbage in garbage out!

    Quality over quantity!
Traffic from SEO has a better CTR for me,
    around 3-4%...
    Yummy!

    Proxy Adsense Earnings went South

    Hello,

About a 10 days till a week ago I saw a massive rise in adsense earnings, shorty after I had banned more countries and school began again in the US.

Since then my adsense earnings have been steadily slaughtered to a fraction. I wouldn't asks what has beein going on If had changed anything on my proxies.

So, what is your experience in the last couple of days? What are the reasons for this; now it's proxy season, isn't it?

    vahing
