I would like to know approximately for how much are proxy groups sold, how much per each subscriber?
I know there's not an exact price, but just tell me their price range if you have experience selling and buying groups.
Thanks

I'm curious too. Some people say .20/subscriber is a fair price, but I think that's WAY too much.
I think it depends on the size as a group with 500-1000 wouldn't be worth it since people can achieve those number fairly quick. Larger groups would be a better buy and though people talk .20 per member it wont sell for that the ones I have seen sold went for .05 to .10 per member.
Yes, like Mr. Bill says, if it's a pretty recent group (Less than 2 years but with 5000 members already or 10000 members) than the subscribers can be sold at $0,15 per subscriber. Ofcourse most people won't give more than $0,10 per user...
Although if it's less than 6 months with +5000 subscribers you should get at least $0,15 per subscriber ;)
I would aim for .20 cents per subscriber no matter how many subscribers you have. A subscriber is a subscriber - bottom line. My last Group with almost 9000 Subscribers went for .20 cents per subscriber or $1800.00 USD. ;-)
Newsletter are very effective especially in the Proxy business.
Will you touched on something that has always went through my head when people offer proxy promotions like proxy 0rg. Some of those are years old and the original people who signed up no longer have a need for proxy sites or have a different ISP or other so I dont see how really a logical price tag can be put on them. I would think the more valuable ones would be able to say they are getting XX amount of new subscribers a day so this would mean the group is well promoted and active. but a list with 5k and its 4 years wouldnt have the same price and say a 6 month old one with 5k subscribers. To me it seems easy enough to get the subscribers so dont see why someone would pay that type of money for a list when $1800 would be better spent in adwords and other promotion and have a sign up box on there site/s. Not saying they didnt spend it just saying seems there would be better ways to promote the site with that amount of money.
In my opinion the best way to find out how much the group is worth is by sending out 2-3 regular email blasts on fresh new domains which donot have common proxy keywords in the domain and in their content and the proxies are hosted on new IP's.
Once you're able to get the fair income chart generated from that group you can easily predict how much its worth.
In order to prove how effective the subscriber list is, you just blast out a fresh proxy site and check the traffic results! Also in Yahoo groups you see in real time if members have unsubscribed and if emails have 'bounced'.
When I sold my newsletter, it was a turn key business driving effective traffic to proxy sites. It was generating $30.00+ per day blasting emails once per day. Not to mention the adsense earnings from blasting your own proxies.
I weight subscribers very high because they are a valuable traffic resource. Everybody these days are turning to newsletters (in all niches). They have become very important in the 'business'. Look around and you will see people easily paying .10 cents per subscriber to grow their mailing list!
