Do you guys have any advice against spammers? It's all very well running a nice, automatic approval proxy submitter - but when people spam endless nonsense it gets to be a bit annoying. I've noticed that on the on bypasser.net as well.
Anyway I'm working on the anti-spam measures here, will keep you all informed.
If you can include some sort of string check for submitted proxies then at least some spammers can be blocked by site content and/or adsense pub id. You might also want to include a host nameserver block too, that'd help. Oh, and a proxy/website block to ban domains including google and yahoo (yes some do submit those).
I decided on a reciprocal link checker to prevent the spam.
Looks like it's working so far :)
Would requiring registration for webmasters cut back on all of the spam? UncleP was explaining to me that atproxy requires registration for that reason.
That can still be bypassed. But, I'm sure most proxy owners are too noobish to script something so the login works too (must ofcourse have the same password & email). But it's just waiting until someone makes a script for that and sells it for $25, and after 3 copies it's for free on the net and there is spam again on all the lists.
