If a recip is not required, then you probably have more leeway there and even more reason to reject low quality sites.

It's there, it's just hidden with javascript and has to be enabled, which makes it a spammy proxy in my book and I wouldn't list it. I've seen worse tho', hidden url bar and two search boxes, talk about trying to confuse. They probably have high ctr and low bandwidth usage, and few returning visitors I'd think. Some proxies don't do it quite so deliberately, they just have poorly designed themes. Some work OK in FireFox but the url bar's hidden in I.E. and that's not good either because those users at work or school usually only have I.E. and can't choose. Those types are pretty worthless too. If it's just way down the page but still visible it's not so bad imho, at least it's there and is usable.

I've also seen a few proxies hiding the reciprocal links in java now as well, the listing scripts will see them but the visitors won't, so it's something else to look out for, that's just being plain disrespectful to the list owners. But most of these spammer people don't care, they just want a fast buck and don't worry about frustrating proxy users, as long as their pockets are getting filled. In a lot of ways we all make it too easy for them so of course they'll carry on doing it.

As for the Baron and his blasts, that's a golden goose for him imho, he's laughing all the way to the bank. People give him $5 per proxy per day to copy 'n paste into an email, nice work if you can get it. If the same proxy keeps re-appearing then it's because the submitter keeps paying. He's built up the list so he's reaping it's rewards now. If we don't like it I'm sure he'd be happy to tell us all what we can do
