Wikipedia should be easy to beat, just write an article on your site that has more detail than Wikipedia provides, then add your page as an external link on the Wikipedia page, then promote your own page and you should see some movement fairly quickly. Or am I wrong?

After the first month I would say if you are going to try and make a proxy that will last would be to edit you site and delete all of the links and then run it like a normal site. Wikipedia's outbound links are all rel=nofollow.

I've beaten Wikipedia a lot of times, but it's not easy.

We've been fighting over 127.0.0.1 for years. They are winning today, but I'll get 'em again...

It's good to make a diary but instead of posting a thread, isn't it better to use the vb blog function? This can avoid as much spam as it is right now..offtrack topic.
