Thumbs up Glype 1.1 now available

The newest version of Glype Proxy is now available for download from the downloads section.

This is the next release in the 1.x branch and should fix a few problems encountered in the 1.0 release. The major update is to the javascript parsing and takes the form of an additional option to enable/disable overriding native javascript code. With this disabled, glype proxy should not interfere with any javascript that is added to the page in the footer include or in the framed mini-form.

I'm updating my sites in the following days, as I really need Adversal to work with my Glype sites

    This is some great news!
Hope I informed you all :P

Looking forward to using this next week. Got a ton of proxies to get rolling and I need to move to glype and stop pissing about with PhProxy.

Is Glype actually better than most proxy softwares?

    Yes sure!
Speed, Skins and Admin Panel are very good points !

But, in fact, I haven't tried any other script but it seems they have not the performences and a community as big as Glype

I do like that they have successfully separated code from data in their software architecture.

And, of course, PHProxy is no longer updated or supported. There really isn't any competition for Glype now.

Glype 1.1 has a little bug I think... I saw it in the forum, but I'll start using it starting today though
I think the problem is with the user at the forum, not with Glype itself (As glype proxy works perfect)

Glype takes a little bit longer to set-up. I've just set my first glype based proxy up. Its's not exactly the pinnicle of proxy design, but still I'm impressed with the glype admin panel alone.
