"Google AdSense ad serving has been disabled to your site"

I got a notification from Google Adsense today:
Google AdSense ad serving has been disabled to your site

This message was sent from a notification-only email address that does not accept incoming email. Please do not reply to this message.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hello,

While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently displaying Google ads in a manner that is not compliant with our policies. For instance, we found violations of AdSense policies on pages such as Unlock or Unblock Youtube | UnlockYoutube. Please note that this URL is an example and that the same violations may exist on other pages of your website.

As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to make prominent use of "Google Brand Features" on sites displaying Google ads. This includes any sites that attempt to create a false association with Google or use Google trademarks in the URL.

As a result, we have disabled ad serving to the site.

Your AdSense account remains active. However, we strongly suggest that you take the time to review our program policies (https://www.google.com/support/adsen...tc=aspe-2pp-en ) to ensure that all of your remaining pages are in compliance.

Please note that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

I find this very strange. Can anyone figure out how my website is violating "Google brand features"?

Is it because I have "youtube' in my URL?

In a word YES! I had the same thing happen with youtubefeatured.com some months ago. Why? Because google owns YouTube.com, it's their brand and using their brand name in a domain name (url) is a violation of their terms, apparently. It does say that in the email they sent, it's just not in what I'd call plain English, it's rather cryptic imho.

You'll notice of course that it's near the end of the month so they get all the revenue from serving ads right up to the last minute then slap you down before they have to pay out your share. Not fair I know but what can you do.

Anyone else with a copyrighted brand name in the url can look forward to similar emails from google I think, maybe not straight away but it will happen sooner or later, and right before they have to pay you no doubt.
If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a terrible warning...

I had a YouTube download tool page that never caused a problem with AdSense, until Google bought YouTube. Then suddenly I got the message to remove AdSense from the page or else.

It is best to just comply with their request and move on... does it suck? Yes.. best to keep your account rather than lose it forever just for a few bucks...
