how convert html template to glype?

I've found a nice template and want to know how to make it into a glype theme and i know many people do it here for free but i want to learn how to do it myself.

so i tried just renaming index.php to main and that didn't work the layout went all funny. so is there any tutorials around or resources?

just paste the form inside the template, this is easier with phproxy.

just be sure to paste it in a place where it wont interfere with the rest of the template and remember to resize the form so it fits inside the html template

Do you have some HTML and PHP basic knowledge? because converting plain HTML template into glype template is not that simple. You need to break it into at least 3 files, Main.php Config.php and framedForm.inc.php where main.php is the structure of the layout, config.php is where the content reside, and framedForm.inc.php is the top navigation bar in the proxified page.

You can skip using the config.php file to store your site content and just add eveything into the main.php file itself, everything should still work ok. I do that sometimes.
