Latest in Proxies
I have been getting a lot of proxies submitted to my proxies blog.
I do not accept them, I delete them.
The main page is not showing a spot to input a url to use the proxy.
Instead, nothing but ads and some articles about forex, etc.
No direction or help as to how to use the proxy!
Instead, in the sidebar is just a button that says, Home.
Or something like that.
Just to let you know, if you submit such a proxy to my blog, I delete them.
Got more submitted this morning.
Here is one so you can see what I am talking about.
Notice no where on the page a search form.
Nor anything on the page that says where to go to use the proxy, etc.

IM'ers call it "leaving money on the table", I call them dumba$$es 'cause people can't be bothered to look when there's a million more proxies, but it's their loss.
True, people who use proxies want easy to use proxies.
When they have to hunt and peck for the submission form, they move on real quick.
But on these types, I question the many link exchanges, link recips, found on the bottom.
They are also (IMHO) cheating those proxy sites and proxy lists.
Now here is the latest weird ones in proxies that are being submitted to my proxies blog.
There is NO way for anyone to input an url to surf away!
Just the main page, nothing but ads.
Someone is putting up a lot of these!
Has a line that says:
Surf the net by placing your url below.
And it is google ads only!
Here is one example of 8 submitted to my proxies blog this morning.
Yeah that type of site is a little confusing... I had to check the source code to know if the search form was actually there or not. Then realised I just needed to click on 'start here' to get the form to show up. Maybe that method works to get more ad clicks ?

I remember reading a post once (maybe at digitalpoint) where someone said their best proxy was a broken one, because if people couldn't get the proxy to work they would usually click on any other links (eg: the ads) to get out of there.
Along with foxify and webleaks dot info's no doubt. They are sort of proxies but they have the 'start here' to enable the input (can be seen on the 'view page source' link) but worse is that they redirect that input to cabletvmall dot com so it's not even the same domain. That makes it useless for a 'new' proxy because it isn't one. It is very frustrating I know, more so for those looking for proxies if that's all they find.
I've had all sorts of idiots submitting garbage. like lateralfilecabinets dot info for instance, not even a flippin' proxy. And there's the shopping sites too, and blogs even ffs. They obviously choose to ignore the requirements clearly stated on the submit page but luckily Will's script can block these 'known offenders' so each one adds to the block list. They only get in once then it's "your name's not down, you're not coming in", hopefully. I have had some actual blank proxies submitted though, like you say, just ads and nothing else except a google search bar, they pretend to be proxies and try to fool the unsuspecting surfer. They're usually not on proxy hosting so are easy to block.
These 'miscreants' (or more accurately 'wank stains' in English) are a bloody nuisance and I guess you're going to have to go in cpanel and block their IP's, or even whole countries if it gets bad. It is one of the few things that spoil proxy listing sites because they're easy targets for spammers, bypasser dot net is a prime example of a garbage magnet, unfortunately it's auto approve and gets hammered by spammers, pity, it just makes them high maintenance (I got a misses for that, lol).
Proxies aren't the fun they used to be but they're still easy money, listing sites are becoming harder to own now. It's a pity Will's script isn't for sale yet, it could stop all this in it's tracks if done properly.
Just don't allow this crap in your lists. It's the only way to stop people making these rubbish sites. The people trying to make a quick buck really are ruining the industry.
Plus, users of your proxy lists aren't going to bother visiting your site again if all they get is worthless advertising pages.
That's what I mean.
These types of proxy sites can be put up by the hundreds, but that does not mean I will accept them into my proxy lists.
The sad thing is, most proxy lists are automatic in that submissions show up right away.
Imagine most of these proxy lists loaded with crap proxies.
