Can you give an example or two of the information leaks?

Cruise around with a packet sniffer running while you're surfing through a web proxy and you'll see what I mean.

Visit some video sites like youtube in Glype, or any site that loads crossdomain.xml files for example and you'll see they aren't parsed at all.

Not sure if you guys were planning to start completely from scratch, but there are many existing open source php proxy projects that have been abandoned besides PHProxy and even Glype was GPL up to version 0.3b.

Here is the test link of our new proxy!

    http://ppc.jinward.com/?__proxyprimu...t_request_url=

after url put "www.anything.com" and tell us if it shows up correctly.

This is just a testlink parser and this is just the beginning!

    Proxy Central

This and much more will be possible. Think of centralized ad placements too.

I just accessed Google's home page. The header image did not load. Looks like a start, though

msn.com loads with images but yahoo.com shows a blank page.

This was an idea that came up during planning. We were thinking of giving it access to both the public API and mod_geoip for Apache for servers that have it available.

Have you guys decided if this script will be encoded / ioncubed etc at some point ? Will it be open source, free version / paid version ?

I know that's a tricky situation to protect the code or not and I'd like to help with testing, but personally if I can't check the source of a script, then I'm not going to use it on a live site.

The source will have to be closed. There will be a support forum which will be actively moderated and maintained. The plan is for people to be able to report bugs, make suggestions and ask for help. It's the next best thing to opening the source. There will be 2 versions of the script and 2 levels of support for people who need help with specific issues. Both free and paid. The free version is expected to have more features than Glype. Since the core of the script is still a work in progress, we haven't got that far yet, so we don't know exactly what support will be free and what will be paid. People who purchase the paid version will not have to pay for the higher tier of support. Requests for new features will also be considered based on popularity. We have to balance between protecting ourselves and being responsive to the needs of proxy webmasters and the community.
