Is the Proxy Business Profitable?

If you are only want to create proxies and let them as they are without any promoting, ad place experimenting and even use the damn free domains and free hosting, you ARE NOT FIT to involve in this niche.

Proxies profit can only be seen with appropriate hardwork like promoting them, make sure they work, and most importantly changing ad placement once in a while.

I earned more than $400 per month from proxies alone last year..but now I'm giving up on them as I have other niche to focus on.

yea i see your point i was just asking how many gig's would i need to start off i will advertise and every thing im in this to do money lol.

I think that the question you should be asking is not "Is the proxy business profitable" but you should be asking "Is the proxy business profitable enough to make a significant income".

A significant income is for you to decide but I think if you spend enough time it would be. Think of the guys like vtunnel and hidemyass.

Hello Kovich,

I used to be with Adbrite, and your linked site is full of them. Yet, Adbrite only permits a total of 3 banners/rectangles/squares/leaderboards on a given page (in addition to inlines and full page ads), you use 4.

This will probably only result in a email from adbrite informing you that they have disabled the zones for the site under consideration, but you could act proactively if you want.

You may place a total of six zones per page, with no more than three of any one zone type listed below:
- Leaderboard zone type: 468x60 or 728x90
- Skyscraper zone type: 120x600 or 160x600
- Rectangular zone type: 300x250
- Custom Flexible zone type

few years back proxy business was very profitable, but not now, due to increasing of proxy site per click ratio is down,

Because people try to make money and not necessary make money. An example can be the proxy lists, i run proxy lists since january 2008, had sites on second page for "proxy sites", "proxy list" and never made more than low XX from all. Anyway i keep the lists because i like them not because are so profitable. That is the reason why so many proxy lists don't last. Just an example.

Others maybe make money but i told you my situation, people try, discuss but only some make money.
