Mine did that too, it seems to be "escaping" the quotes for whatever reason, sometimes it needs to be done on some scripts but in this case it doesn't.

The only way around it I found was to edit the database directly with phpMyAdmin (in cpanel). It's in the 'config' table and on the second page, there's reciprocal_link_1 & reciprocal_link_2 which you can edit directly by clicking on the pencil icon, add text directly, then click 'go' to save. It's a bit drastic but it works, I'm not a programmer so I can't edit the code. I'm still using version 1 of the script myself, I don't like v2 at all tbh, there's too many options to change in admin and way too many save buttons but everyones a critic and I like it simple myself.
The old version works for me and I've made a few changes, like doing away with the login on the cron pages so cron jobs run automatically (aging and checking), plus a few changes to the template like ad placement and stuff. I've got used to it now so I'll stick with it for a while I think.
If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a terrible warning...
