Proxy domain names
I've got a few domains lying around that I probably won't develop, I've been thinking of getting into the proxy game and AdSense, I could probably put together a network of about ten sites pretty quickly, but does the domain name make any difference with proxies?
None of my domains have proxy in the URL, some even have other keywords like 'coffee', 'users', 'metro' etc. Does this mean that AdSense ads would be irrelevant and not clicked? If so, would I be better off getting some new domains with keywords in them that the average proxy user might like to see in the AdSense?
The ads aren't irrelevant... I mean, I have some proxies who own a name with 'xbox' in it.. and yeah, sometimes it shows an ad about Xbox, but 75% of the ads are about the text ON the page and not about the domain :D
I tested this by buying these 2 domains and promoting them:
DestroyCancer.Info & CarInsuranced.Info
They didn't make me more money... just the same like the others ;)
Fantastic, thanks aquarezz, might go test me some proxies this week. Do you have an affiliate link at TMZ, I'll sign up under you.

Too much speedy for me Aquarezz :p
I will add that my proxy FunHour showed ads about free games and fun stuff the first day. But, as soon as the AdSense bot crawled the content, he got proxy ads ;)
From my limited experience the domain name makes little difference. Just go for all the cheapo .info domains!
Those domains will be more than perfect. By using a domain name with the word "proxy" in it, you are automatically banned by all web filters. :)
That's possible, but you can have like 750 uniques per day just from school traffic and with a domain without the word 'proxy'

And it has the Proxy word in the domainname... so yeah, you can choose... :D
ProxyTiger.Com isn't mine, but this is one that has proxy in the name too, and receives around 2,5k per day as far as I know...
You get visitors but not a lot of pupils.

I mean.. some filter companies block 'proxy' domains too, but in me previous school it wasn't.. and it was with a big filtering companies...
Only like the major proxy sites were blocked (unblockall, hidemyass etc) and youtube ofcourse...
But like my proxies with the word proxy weren't blocked...
